ST CHRYSOSTOMS 1943
This is a photo of my great grandfather Joseph Rosenberg to his second wife Nellie Hill (née Farmer) in 1943 at St Chrysostom's church. Both widowed, Joseph had been married to Ellen (Nelly) Litherland and Nellie to Joseph Hill, a baker / confectioner who owned a shop in Hockley Hill until his death in the laste 20s. The only other person I know for definite on this picture is the bridesmaid, my great aunt Beryl Rosenberg. I think the younger chap to the left is Nellie's son Arthur Haden Hill. I think the older chap to the right of her is her brother Henry. I don't know very much about Joseph Rosenberg as he was of Russian or Polish descent (actually fought for England in WW1).
